The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.
SASSA will probably be rendering expert services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency said it can be alarmed with regards to the higher range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office committed to service the area each day. The assistance stage designed for intervention ordeals a higher influx of likely beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for your Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more sources to empower the servicing of all prospects and increase entry to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
For more information, community members can call SRD toll free during working days/hours on 0800 60 10 11 and WhatsApp on 082 046 8553. - SAnews.gov.za
